Montreal Drupal Meet-up for February 2011

The Montreal Drupal community came out in full force earlier this week for our first meetup of the year. In addition to the familiar faces from Whisky Echo Bravo, McGill University, Espeo and other companies, were some newer members like Ryan Weal and Geoff Brown. On the agenda was Drupal7 and other projects that people had worked on since our last meeting.

Upgrading EvolvingWeb.ca to Drupal 7

We are excited to announce the relaunch of evolvingweb.ca, upgraded to Drupal 7! There was so much excitement the first week of January about the official release of Drupal 7, that we decided to dive in and upgrade our own website.

Evolving Web at CUSEC 2011

Last week, Evolving Web had a lot of fun attending CUSEC 2011. CUSEC is the Canadian Undergraduate Software Engineering Conference, an annual event in Montreal attended by around 300 university students and professionals.

Recap of Drupal Camp Montreal 2010

We had a very busy weekend at DrupalCamp Montreal over the past two days. All the sponsors and lots of volunteers from the community came together to make the event a success. About 200 attendees showed up, some from as far away as Boston and Guelph. We've certainly grown a lot as a community since our first camp of about 50 people in 2008.

Manually Creating Path Translations in Drupal

Creating a multilingual Drupal site includes tranlsating not only content and interface strings, but also things as basic as paths. This can be a challenge when working with modules like Views, which only accept one version of the path to a given View.

Recap of Drupal Camp Toronto 2010

Last weekend, Evolving Web headed to Toronto for another successful 2010 Drupal Camp. The Drupal community in Toronto is thriving, and there were lots of enthusiastic attendees including freelancers, hobbyists, and service providers. Attendees came from all over Southern Ontario, as well as Quebec and the United States.

Get Ready for DrupalCamp MTL 2010!

Mark your calendars down for October 23 and 24 as Drupalers from across Canada and the world will descend upon Montreal for two days of sharing, coding, networking and sipping local micro-brew! The venue will still be McGill University, but this year the generous folks at the university have offered us 4 rooms in the iconic McIntyre Medical building.
