UX design boils down to raising the likelihood that end users will feel pleased with the way a website looks, feels and works. “It’s about solving everyday problems with design,” Annika explains, “whether it’s providing the right information in a quickly digestible way or making it easy and intuitive for someone to make an online purchase.” When possible, she does user testing (e.g. interviews, surveys, A/B testing, etc.) to help determine what would work best.

Annika also creates wireframes, style guides and reusable, responsive design patterns to ensure that clients’ brands are applied consistently across different devices. Her projects over the past decade have included e-commerce platforms, responsive websites, digital magazines, apps and health portals.
