Marketing Specialist (1122)

Evolving Web is looking to hire a marketing specialist with a strong interest in online strategy and promotion. We're looking for motivated professionals to work from our office in Old Montreal. We're a small and growing team of Drupal developers, so the ability to learn quickly in an agile environment is required. This is a full-time position, $40,000-$50,000 commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop Evolving Web’s position as a leading Drupal services provider in the United States and Canada
• Develop Evolving Web’s marketing strategy, including identifying target markets and defining the services to be offered
• Advise clients on web promotion strategies, with the goal of helping them develop effective online presences
• Create written reports that propose an online strategy for our clients, encompassing analysis of their brand, competitive environment, website analytics, and SEO factors
• Create wireframes to visually support our strategic recommendations
• Establishing and managing relationships with our clients, in all parts of a project's lifecycle
• Produce newsletters, blogs, and publications to support the online marketing objectives of Evolving Web and its clients
• Take responsibility for helping write and maintain the content of Evolving Web's website, and those of its clients
• Developing and writing proposals and reports
• Negotiating and developing a project's vision throughout the project lifecycle, including assuring quality of the final deliverable

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Bachelors degree from a leading university, in a program with a significant writing and research component
• Experience working in a consulting environment
• Background in marketing, communications, sales, or another promotional field
• Fluency in English, ability to understand written and spoken French
• Basic understanding of statistics, particularly as applicable to web analytics

Technological Proficiency Requirements

• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) or equivalent
• Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• A modern web content management system, preferably Drupal
• Google Analytics or other modern web analytics tools
• Ability to write basic HTML

Qualifications Considered an Asset

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in a startup environment
• Previous experience in technical or design-related fields
• Understanding of website development best practices and open source values
• Strong sense of aesthetics and design
• Experience in marketing to companies in the United States
• Ability to understand written and spoken Spanish
