At Evolving Web, Suzanne is responsible for user interface design and front end development. She loves designing wireframes in Adobe Illustrator and creating Drupal themes in VIM.

Suzanne graduated from McGill University's Schulich School of Music and co-founded Evolving Web with Alex Dergachev in June 2007 . She became interested in web design after taking a few computer science courses at McGill and started learning about standards-based HTML and CSS.

Suzanne contributed to a number of PHP-based web applications for the McGill community and in 2007, she was part of a student-run Ruby on Rails project called VConf that was used to organize academic conferences.

Creating a Template for a Custom Drupal Block

We often define custom blocks in a site-specific module. Sometimes the markup in these blocks can start building up and we realize that it's time to create a template for the block. This is a good way to keep markup out of the module code. It's also a good way to practise writing cleaner and more themer-friendly modules.

Evolving Web had a great time at Drupal Camp NYC last weekend. The camp was a huge success thanks to the excellent turn-out and presentations on exciting topics such as administrative interfaces, Context, and Drupal security. The team of organizers who put the camp together did an amazing job!

This weekend, Evolving Web is down in New York for DrupalCamp NYC 8. The camp has had a great turnout and we're really excited to be here and sponsoring the camp. Evolving Web is presenting at five sessions over the two-day camp.
