My first few days at Evolving Web
In this first blog posting, I would like to graciously thank each of my fellow members for making me feel welcomed into their team so quickly.
I have been an avid internet user for nearly as long as I can remember and have been a fan of ethical marketing for close to the same. I consider myself to be a social networking and news aficionado working hard to stay ahead of the curve. Over the coming months, I expect to gain a stranglehold on SEO, read my weight’s worth in internet marketing books, and offer a fresh perspective from a recent Concordia University graduate.
My first task will be assisting in the organization of the Montreal Drupal Camp (October 17-18, 2009) which we’re all very much looking forward to. Just the other day, I attended my first Montreal Drupal meet-up, where discussion centered around the organization of this year’s event. It goes without saying that 25 minds are better than one, and despite lacking the ability to plan everything in one day, the groundwork was laid out. Fortunately, we had several detailed note-takers (thank you Christian and Miriam) to jot down the flow of ideas and concerns that we will be discussing over the next few weeks until our next meeting.
It is very inspiring to see how much passion goes into an open-source project and I aspire to feed off that enthusiasm. I look forward to working with such dedicated individuals throughout my newly commenced journey here at the ever Evolving Web.
