Drupal highlight: node hierarchy

The latest module I've been testing, the node hierarchy module has made quite a splash here at Evolving Web.

The module allows one to classify nodes in a hierarchy, in terms of "parent" and "children" content types, allowing for simple navigation of related nodes. For example, this module could easily be used to classify and categorize articles at a clothing store. Allowing for a "product line" content type as a "parent" and a "product" content type as a "child", one could quickly organize a store's inventory in a logical hierarchy.

Furthermore, one can create menus with given hierarchies, all the while allowing for customization of how and where menu items appear. Using our example of a clothing store, this component would allow one to display the catalogue of products in an intuitive menu.

Here at Evolving Web, we have seen its potential and are currently deploying it on one of our development sites!
