Yesterday, Alex and I presented at McGill University's School of Computer Science about starting a tech company in Montreal. We talked about how we went about starting our business when we graduated from McGill back in 2007. We had a great turnout with lots of eager comp sci students eager to learn about how to get into tech entrepreneurship.

Last weekend, Alex and I attended Canada's first healthcare-themed hackathon. Hacking Health took place at Thompson House on McGill University's campus and attracted around 200 participants including healthcare professionals and developers.

Last week, Alex and I spoke on a McGill Alumni Panel 'Maximize Social Media in Business', organized by the McGill Young Alumni. Based on the panel's discussion, I've put together a list of advice for small businesses that are just getting started with their social media strategy.

Drupal is a popular choice for universities these days. It’s particularly appealing for organizations that currently maintain a custom CMS or use proprietary solutions.

The entire Evolving Web team had a great time at DrupalCamp this weekend. Suzanne Kennedy gave a presentation on building bilingual sites, while Alex Dergachev and Logan Smyth gave a presentation on Apache Solr search.
