Canadian Centre for Architecture: Actions Exhibition

We created an interactive website for the Canadian Centre for Architecture’s Tools for Actions exhibition. The website won a Webby official honoree award in 2009.

The website displays projects from the CCA’s curated exhibition, alongside user-generated projects. A set of pre-defined themes link the projects together and the exhibition's website invites the viewer to explore these themes. User-submitted data was an important part of the project. Curators were able to flag selected content from users to be included among the winners. Evolving Web created a unique search interface for the website, consisting of a visual toolkit. Users can choose combinations of tools and see the projects that match these criteria.

The project was a collaboration with Bluesponge, which provided the design and user interface ideas. The CCA is Bluesponge's client and we were mandated by Bluesponge to develop the software solution for this project.
